Nine stages, one unbroken file.
Every consignment follows the same documented path. The sequence is deliberately rigid, because predictability is what allows institutional counterparties to plan around us.
- 01
Mandate and counterparty onboarding
Every engagement begins with formal onboarding: corporate identity, ultimate beneficial ownership, sanctions and adverse media screening, and confirmation of the counterparty's authority to transact. Nothing progresses until the file is complete.
- 02
Corridor and origin verification
Mine licences, export permits and legal title to the material are verified at source. Where a corridor cannot be evidenced to that standard, it is declined rather than mitigated.
- 03
Specification and contracting
Form, fineness, tolerance, packaging, pricing reference, pricing window, inspection regime and settlement instrument are fixed in writing before the material moves. Ambiguity resolved after loading is ambiguity paid for twice.
- 04
Independent sampling and assay
Sampling is witnessed and sealed, with retained samples held for umpire analysis. Fire assay remains the reference method for doré, supported by instrumental analysis where speed or non-destructive testing is required.
- 05
Security preparation and sealing
Consignments are sealed under dual control, photographed, weighed and recorded. Seal numbers are transmitted to the receiving party in advance so that any discrepancy is detectable on arrival rather than negotiable.
- 06
Insured transit
Routing is planned around risk, not only cost. Cover is arranged door to door with values declared per consignment, using bonded carriers and armoured transit where the corridor and value profile require it.
- 07
Customs and documentary clearance
Export and import documentation is prepared alongside the physical movement, not behind it, so that clearance is a formality. Chain-of-custody records accompany each stage of the file.
- 08
Vault intake or refinery delivery
Material is received into allocated storage or refinery intake against the pre-transmitted seal and weight record. Intake documentation closes the physical leg of the transaction.
- 09
Settlement and reporting
Settlement is released against verified delivery documents through the agreed instrument, in the counterparty's preferred currency. A closing file, including provenance and assay records, is retained for audit and made available to compliance functions on request.
